![]() This is not Disney World - it's an amusement center dedicated to child Lego enthusiasts. We decided to go to LEGOLAND this past Saturday despite the conflicting reviews. There should be some sort of rules regarding the waits for the rides and they should be enforced so everyone can enjoy Legoland to its fullest. There were very bad examples set by adults and left uncorrected by staff. I left my number and never received a call back from anyone so I'm letting everyone know here. I called Legoland (trust me- I NEVER call anyone about anything) but I really felt that particularly in light of the cost of the day.it was a letdown for my little guys and myself. I must admit it did put a damper on our experience as my boys absolutely refused to wait in line after these fine examples of "adult" behavior and just relegated themselves to activities that didnt involve waiting and the unfairness of the process. I had no other explanation to offer other than "sometimes people dont do the right thing" It would have been nice to have some monitoring or correction of the situation but the employees were beyond apathetic. They wanted to know why it was OK for all these people to not wait their turn and then jump the line ahead of us. It is difficult to explain to my children how they must be patient and wait in line only to be repeatedly "scabbed" as my boys called it. It doesnt effect them, or their paycheck at all. The employees were well aware of what was happening and I guess at the end of the day didnt care. This same practice occurred at the Merlin Ride (in fact there was a heated exchange in the line after it was done a few times) and the Lego Master Builder class. ![]() At the movie theatre, a camp counselor was waiting in line and when the doors flew open and my boys were so excited to finally get to see the movie.about 12 kids from the camp crawled under the rope ahead of all the folks patiently waiting for the movie and in fact it caused us to have to wait another cycle. This was incredibly frustrating to explain to my boys. Heres the problem.at virtually every atrraction where there was a wait, one adult would finally get near the front of the line and then frantically wave to the other members of their party who would politely (some not so much) wiggle their way to the front of the line. There were lines to the attractions and I and my boys patiently waited.together in line. It seemed a bit more crowded than I would expect on a Tuesday due in large part to Summer camps that were spilling in in droves. I took my boys, ages 7 and 5 to Legoland on Aug 20, 2013. I was hoping for more displays and interactive options. Even with the free kids ticket, for 3 adults, it was $100 for the 1 hour walk through. Overall, I will not return and would not recommend it for anyone with kids over the age of 10 years old since they will likely be bored. ![]() There appeared to be 3 kids parties happening in a designated area - someone brought in pizza boxes for the kids attending. We purchased the activity pack for an extra $5 which was a waste. We arrived at 2:30pm and were told we could re-enter throughout the day as long as we kept our printed tickets. Both rides were working while we were there - the laser tag ride required an adult to ride with each child. His ticket was free after entering the promotional code LDCWAAA online and printing the tickets at home. Disappointed there was not more for him to explore, especially since he is a Lego master builder and loves the Legos kits. So if you go on a rainy day, make sure you pack rain coats/umbrellas.Walked through last Saturday in less than an hour with an 11 year old. ![]() It is easy to get there, just a short walk from the train station, some of which is covered. The cafe food looked good and reasonably priced too though we didn't eat there. All staff were friendly, helpful and could speak English. The build and race area was good but we couldn't find enough pieces of Lego to build decent size cars. There is a free play area too which the kids loved. We didn't have to wait too long in queues for the rides. The 4D movie is in Japanese but our boys still sat through it and enjoyed it. ![]() We had planned on going on a different day but due to the Typhoon we had to reschedule our plans hence buying tickets on the day. Firstly we recommend purchasing tickets online prior to going (need to booked 24 hours prior to visit) as walk up tickets are quite expensive. We had a fun day at the centre with our 2 young boys (2.5 and 5 years old). ![]()
